850 is the maximum number of learners that Paarl Boys’ High can accommodate. This figure determines the annual intake of new learners.
Alle leerders word tot die skool toegelaat op grond van meriete en opvoedkundig verantwoordbare uitgangspunte, asook praktiese omstandighede (soos klasgroottes, onderrigmedium (taal)-beperkings, ens.), totdat die maksimum toegelate hoeveelheid leerders ingeskryf is, sonder diskriminasie op grond van ras, kultuur en geloof. Die korrekte ouderdom vir die graad is ‘n voorvereiste vir toelating. Daarbenewens moet ‘n leerder oor die vermoë beskik om tred te hou met die peil van onderrig in die graad waartoe hy toegelaat word.
Education is offered in English and Afrikaans. Prospective learners should be proficient in at least one of these languages while they should also have a working knowledge of the other language.
Applications of learners who legally live with their parents as described in the Schools Act and whose home language is the language of education of the School are preferred. Applicants are accepted where practically possible, and still in line with the primary criteria of merit.

Aansoeke open op 10 Maart 2026 tot 14 April 2026 op die WKOD-webtuiste.
Vanaf 28 Mei 2026 vertoon die uitslag van u aansoek op die WKOD-webtuiste.
Vanaf 28 Mei tot 10 Junie sal u per sms of e-pos deur die WKOD ingelig word aangaande die uitkoms van u aansoek.
Ouers moet teen 15 Junie 2026 aanvaarding op die WKOD-webtuiste aandui.
Ouers sal verdere korrespondensie vanaf die skool ontvang.
APPLICATIONS – Grade 8 2027
Applications open on 10 March 2026 until 14 April 2026 on the WCED website.
From 28 May 2025 the outcome of the application will be reflected on the WCED website.
Parents will be informed by the WCED via sms or email from 28 May to 10 June, concerning your application.
Parents will have to indicate acceptance on the WCED website by 15 June 2026.
Parents will then receive further correspondence from the school.
