Boishaai aims to provide as wide a subject choice as possible to our learners. To facilitate this we have two sets of subject choices:
Subject choice: Grade 8 & 9
- Language, Literacy and Communication
(English and Afrikaans)
- Mathematics
- Natural Sciences
- Human and Social Sciences
- Technology
- Economic and Management Sciences
- Arts and Culture
- Life Orientation
* German, Latin, French and DramaL may be taken as additional privatised subjects. For more information, please contact the school.
Subjects choice: Grade 10, 11 & 12
Choose one subject from each group.
1. Afrikaans Home Language or Afrikaans First Additional Language
2. English Home Language or English First Additional Language
3. Life Orientation
4. Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
Any 3 of the following subjects
5. Business Studies or Physical Science or History or Life Sciences or Accounting or Engineering Graphics & Design
6. Engineering Graphics & Design or Business Studies or Geography or Life Sciences or Accounting or Physical Sciences or CAT
7. Physical Science or Engineering Graphics & Design or Geography or Accounting or Life Science or Business Studies
The following subjects may be taken in the place of any subject in groups 5 – 7: Music, Art, Drama and Latin. Drama and Art will be taken privately and after normal school hours. The timetable will determine wheter Music and Latin will be taken during or after school hours.
Information Technology may be taken as an eighth subject. This subject is taken after normal school hours at Labori High School. Additional Mathematics may also be taken as an eighth subject after normal school hours. |
