At Boishaai we strive to develop the journalistic abilities of our learners. We are very proud of The Retina, our school newspaper, that publishes high quality articles written by our learners. Our journalists are also considered for the JW Minnaar prize for outstanding journalism.

The Retina is distributed widely and read by many learners, parents and oldboys.

Our journalists regularly attend Die Burger Skoolkoerantkurses to expand their skills. Learners also do the layout and typography themselves, and as such develop valuable experience with modern technology.
