The most important event on the Boishaai calender is the annual Interschools challenge. This sporting festival, which includes all the official school sports, is subject to great speculation, not only in Paarl, but in our country and even world wide. The greatest and most action-packed part of this weekend is naturally the historical first team rugby match which is played at the Paarl Rugby Stadium at Faure Street. The first Interschools rugby match took place in 1915.

Interschools, however, is not only about sport. Interschools is a time for reunions. Various reunion groups meet every year at the Great Brag, a ceremony which attempts to prepare the whole Boishaai community emotionally for this great challenge and to introduce all the teams to the masses. Well known personalities such as Francois Pienaar and Ferdinand Rabie (a Bloedwors!) have also addressed the Men In Blue on this occasion.

The greatest honours is naturally to be "capped" by your father with the traditional first team cap. This tradition was originally reserved for the First Rugby team, but the First Hockey side has also been "capped" since 2003.
