Boishaai participates in the Boland Schools Competition.
- Three teams play in the summer league. The format of the competition is Stablefor and an 18-handicap over 9 holes. The competition takes place on Mondays. The best four of the six scores per team are used. Between 8 - 10 schools enter the summer and winter leagues.
- Boishaai also has three teams in the winter league where a distinction is made between the first and second leagues. Three teams are entered in the first league. The format in these competitions is stroke-play. They play on a 0-handicap.
- Another important highlight is the annual Boishaai Open (Interhouse competition). This takes place on two consecutive Mondays (36 holes) and the school golf champion is decided at the same event. This competition is divided into three section:
* A-section is a stroke-play competition on a 0-9 handicap
* B- and C-section use a Stablefor format and are played on a 10-18 and 19-handicap respectively.
- The Father and Son Golf Day is a very popular event and draws on average 120 entries per year.
- A new addition to the calendar is the annual Boishaai Western Cape Schools Golf Championships where the top golf team of the Western Cape is decided. Several top schools (36) are invited. This is a Boishaai initiative and is not in competition with the Boland and Western Cape Schools Golf Union's competitions.
- Boishaai is also invited to the St John's Golf Week which takes place at Sun City during August on a annual basis. Different competitions run over a period of 4 days in the tournament. St John's invite approximately 40 schools from across the country, including some schools from overseas.
